The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) located in Grimsby is one of 14 LHINs that have been established in Ontario by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. As a not-for-profit, community-based organization, our mandate is to plan, coordinate, integrate and fund health care services at the local level.
You are an integral team member of the LHIN team, contributing to the LHIN’s role in health system planning, integration and performance. Your contribution will assist the LHIN achieve its aims - improving the health of the population; enhancing the experience of care; and ensuring a sustainable system into the future.
You are responsible for providing data and statistical analyses to support the broad system directions established by the LHIN and described in its Integrated Health Service Plan, December 2009. An important part of your role is knowledge transfer – guiding staff and others in the appropriate use and interpretation of data and evidence.
As the successful candidate, you have a post-secondary degree in Epidemiology or a related field and you understand the Ontario health care system. You are familiar with provincial clinical and administrative datasets. You have experience in health research, data analysis, and decision support, and applied experience with planning and analysis methodologies. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing is required. Proficiency in French is an asset.
