Contract (approximately one year – Covering Maternity Leave)

37.5 hours per week

The Community Health Centre is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian to cover a maternity leave.  The Registered Dietitian will educate and advise patients with diet-related disorders on the practical ways in which they can improve their health by adopting healtier eating habits.  The incumbent will be part of an inter-professional team consisting of Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Health Promoter, Social Worker and Medical Administrator / Receptionist.


·         Support the CHC to determine the best course of dietary treatment for clients

·         Provide treatment and counselling to clients

·         Educate and advocate on behalf of clients

·         Provide referrals and collaboration to ensure ongoing care of clients

·         Ensure the organizational vision and values are incorporated in all CHC processes.

·         Ensure support of CHC strategies and adherence with legislation

·         Plan, deliver and evaluate nutrition education programs and partnership initiatives



·         Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario

·         Experience in a community setting preferred but will consider new grads

·         Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

·         Excellent oral and communication skills

·         Ability to use computer software such as MS Office, email and web applications along with experience using EMR

·         Work independently as part of an inter-professional team
