Position: Program Supervisor of Health Protection (Comp. #2012-08)
Location: Public Health and Emergency Services Department

Reporting to: Manager of Health Protection
Union Affiliation: Non-Union
Responsible for the supervision of program staff; planning, development, evaluation, and organization of Vaccine Preventable Diseases, TB and Sexual Health/STI Programs mandated in the Ontario Public Health Standards; and coordination of specific health protection activities with the Manager.
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a recognized Canadian university or equivalent; relevant Master’s degree is an asset; a member in good standing of the College of Nurses of Ontario; five years' public health or related experience which includes demonstrated leadership ability; supervisory and administrative experience or preparation; excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitation skills, and presentation skills; highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels; sound knowledge of public health programs and relevant legislation; demonstrated skill and experience working with community partners; and a valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle with insurance.
