Make your impact and contribution in Public Health at the Middlesex-London Health Unit as the Program Manager of the Oral Health Team. You will provide operational and strategic leadership to a team of Dental professionals. The team responsibilities include clinical duties for adults and children, provision of oral health assessments and oral health education programs in schools and in the community.
Reporting to the Associate Medical Officer of Health / Director of Oral Health, Communicable Disease and Sexual Health Services (OHCDSH), the Manager will plan, implement and evaluate the Oral Health Program. In addition to ensuring operational plans are developed, implemented and evaluated, this role calls for creative review and design of new initiatives and participates in the development of the agency strategic directions. The Manager will collaborate and consult with community committees, agencies and groups to promote cooperation and develop public health programming. As well, the Manager will conduct and participate in research initiatives in the community and present information related to oral health to community members and groups.
This position requires a degree in a dental-related discipline. Preference will be given to those applicants with a Masters Degree in Administration, Public Health or a health related discipline as well as previous public health and management experience. Requirements also include good computer skills, proven leadership ability, excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills. The successful candidate should be willing to
become an active participating member of the Ontario Association of Public Health Dentistry. The ability to communicate in French or other languages would be considered an asset.
