Health Services – Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention
The Healthy Eating – Children and Youth team requires an innovative, self-directed professional with experience and interest in program planning focused on healthy weights and environmental supports for children and youth, along with school nutrition. Key responsibilities on this multidisciplinary team include: participating in a research review and community assessment to identify health promotion approaches to guide practice based on the best available evidence, participating in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of community wide and site specific public health strategies using an Evidence Informed Decision Making process, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners to help identify and meet the health needs and trends of Peel’s school-age population, supporting the promotion and delivery of school nutrition services using Peel Health’s Healthy School Communities model and providing consultations to internal and external stakeholders to address their respective needs.
