KFL&A Public Health, an accredited local public health agency affiliated with Queen’s University, serves to promote and protect the health of the more than 180,000 residents of Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington area. The Adult Health Team has an immediate opening for Public Health Nurse. The Public Health Nurse will promote and protect the health and well-being of individuals and communities, in multiple sites such as homes, schools, and workplaces. They will also use evidence based practice to inform health policies and programs, and to implement Ontario Public Health Standards and protocols and use sustainable strategies to plan and deliver health promotion and disease prevention programs and services. The successful candidate will work as a team member and promotes KFL&A Public Health’s values and standards in the community while providing leadership and collaboration effectively with community agencies, partners, and organizations.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nursing which includes public health nursing preparation and be eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Previous experience in the health and prevention of chronic disease in the adult population preferred.
