The Epidemiology Section of the Office of the Medical Officer of Health requires a dynamic, self-starter to provide epidemiological expertise and project management in the areas of health data analysis and interpretation, research and survey methods.  Reporting to the Manager of Epidemiology, you will work in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team environment and will be responsible for monitoring the health status of the Region of Peel’s residents through the development of health status reports, ad hoc survey research and special projects; coordination of special projects in collaboration with other health department staff; the design of surveys and questionnaires, analysis of  data, report writing and working with regional and external stakeholders on various projects.  You will also be given opportunities to collaborate and work with internal staff, external agencies and Epidemiology colleagues in the province.
