Health Services – Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention
As a member of the Healthy Eating – Adult multidisciplinary team, you will provide input into the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the priority areas that influence healthy eating in the adult population. Key responsibilities include: Working in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team environment • Involvement in data collection and situational assessments to direct future program development for healthier food environments for adults • Review and utilization of evidence informed decision making • Apply knowledge regarding concepts of population health, health inequity, diversity, determinants of health and effective health promotion strategies to guide practice • Stay abreast on current credible research on healthy eating trends and the food environment, and provide summaries/briefings as appropriate
