Wings and Thingamajigs, the Halton Region Health Department's second air quality picture book for children aged four to eight launched earlier this year, is now available for download in five additional languages: French, Spanish, Polish, Punjabi and Cantonese, reflecting the top five languages spoken most often at home in Halton other than English. The Region published an English version of the book in June, and an online Storytelling Kit, as part of its Air Quality Education and Awareness Raising program.
The book builds on the themes presented in book one, A Farewell to Featherwagons (http://www.halton.ca/featherwagons), particularly the impact of transportation on the environment.
