The Brant County Health Unit is an accredited community health agency that provides public health programs and services to a mixed urban and rural population of approximately 130,000. Situated on the banks of the Grand River, Brantford is short drive to Toronto, London and Hamilton.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent will provide leadership for the planning, implementation, co-ordination and evaluation of Corporate Services which includes, in summary, financial planning and developing of budgets using financial management methods including program costing, budget forecasting and expense monitoring, co-ordinating year end financial audits, procurement (RFPs, RFQs, Tenders), facilities management; insurance, management of contracts and service level agreements; oversees the portfolio of business application and information management projects. Participates in strategic and business planning and attends and presents reports to the Board of Health and funding partners.
Qualifications and experience: Master’s degree relevant to the job description supported by a professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA); experience in health care and/or public health with progressive leadership and management responsibilities; experience and sound knowledge in the development of financial policy, procedures and guidelines and legislation relevant to the job description; has proven their ability to work effectively within a unionized multi-disciplinary team setting.
We offer an attractive benefit package and starting salary range, $101,449 – 113,297.
