The Epidemiology Section of the Office of the Medical Officer of Health requires a dynamic, self-starter to provide support to the Ontario Early Years programs and its partners in the areas of data analysis and interpretation, survey methods and program evaluation. Reporting to the Supervisor, Epidemiology, you will work in a self-directed manner within a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities include the training and support of staff in the Ontario Early Years Centres, for recording, monitoring and program reporting; providing support to the Early Literacy Specialists in data capture and analysis of early years programs in supporting language development; working with agencies serving children aged 0-6 years to develop and implement client satisfaction measures and evaluations of early years programs; serving as a consultant to staff to develop and collect early years program, census and health data; preparing technical analyses and reports for the purposes of: program planning; evaluating the program; answering research questions or responding to requests for information; presenting data in useful, understandable formats including tables, charts, maps and customized reports, using sophisticated software tools and working with colleagues in the Ministry of Children and Youth Services to ensure timeline and accurate data submissions to the Ministry.
