Our client, Sport Alliance Ontario (SAO) is a provincial sport development agency. It is their goal to support personal and community development through sport opportunities - from the Playground to the Podium. SAO provides programs, services and resources to help member organizations achieve their own objectives and realize their full potential - enabling the full Ontario sport and recreation community to grow, prosper, succeed and celebrate.

Chief Executive Officer

You have a passion for sport and are widely respected for your financial acumen, strategic leadership and your ability to build partnerships. Those attributes will make you an ideal candidate for one of the most coveted roles in Canadian sport: CEO, Sport Alliance Ontario. As CEO, you will lead general operations, financial management, strategic planning, business transformation initiatives, marketing programs and fundraising events. Representing SAO, you will also engage stakeholders and build partnerships to advance strategic objectives and enhance the profile of member organizations. Meeting the organizations objectives will require you to work effectively with the Board of Directors, Board Committees, the Board Chair and a wide variety of stakeholders in sport, government, the private sector and local communities.
The successful candidate will be focused and energetic in the pursuit of the SAO’s purpose and will have established ties in the community. You are an accomplished executive with a successful track record of meeting your organization’s objectives by inspiring and mentoring your team. A transparent and inclusive leadership approach also compliments your organizational change management expertise.

With a business degree and/or a proven record in the sport sector you will have demonstrated your excellence in communications, marketing and fundraising. You may also have experience in stakeholder management, partnership building and community engagement.
