As an integral member of the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Division, Healthy Eating-Children and Youth Team, you will plan, promote, develop, implement and evaluate health promotion policies, practices and programs related to the promotion of healthy eating for children and youth. You will apply health promotion knowledge using proven program planning and evaluation tools and methods. You will integrate your knowledge of public health sciences including population health, social determinants of health, epidemiology and applicable legislation. With strong research, analytical and critical appraisal skills, you will proactively identify emerging trends and issues and provide evidence informed analysis, briefings, reports and recommendations that will influence strategic initiatives, programs and policy development. You will provide consultation and knowledge exchange to management and other public health professionals based on situational assessments conducted, demographic information knowledge and data interpretation
Number of Vacancies: one (1) regular full-time & one contract full-time for approximately thirteen (13) months
