RFP--Smoking Cessation Trainers, Cancer Care Ontario, Program Training and Consultation Centre

The Program Training and Consultation Centre (PTCC) at Cancer Care Ontario builds the capacities of public health intermediaries working within Ontario’s 36 public health departments to plan and implement evidence-based tobacco control programs. Funded by Public Health Ontario, the centre provides a range of capacity building supports including training programs, technical assistance/ consultation services and knowledge exchange initiatives.

PTCC is currently looking for experienced contract trainers who can deliver one or more of the smoking cessation related trainings for frontline health practitioners listed below:

  • Brief Counseling for Tobacco Use Cessation (BCC)
  • Smoking cessation with priority populations including pre/post natal women
  • Group Cessation Counseling
  • Motivational Interviewing into smoking cessation counseling

Cancer Care Ontario is putting forward an open Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage the services of several qualified trainers.  Successful candidates will be able to negotiate a flexible working schedule with PTCC.
