Public Health Nurses, permanent full-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time and casual
Leading the way to a healthier Durham, it is the mission of the Health Department to excel at providing a diversity of health enhancing services that address the growing and changing needs of the community.
Durham Region Public Health Nurses work with people of all ages to promote the health of our community. Public Health Nurses implement health education and health communication strategies, influence the development and revision of public policy and build capacity within individuals, families, groups and communities. They address issues such as chronic disease prevention, injury prevention, infectious diseases and reproductive and child health.
As a successful candidate, you will have a bachelor's degree with preparation in Public Health Nursing and are registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario. A valid Ontario class ‘G’ driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required. A current acceptable Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance will be required for this position as a pre-condition to employment.
