The Public’s Health: A Symposium on Public Health Histories,

This is an interdisciplinary conference of interest to anyone thinking about the history of public health from diverse, unique perspectives.

March 6 will be an academic day with a series of peer-reviewed sessions on the Public’s Health. A reception will be held in the evening featuring a keynote address by Dalla Lana School of Public Health Dean Howard Hu and Public Health Ontario President and CEO Peter Donnelly.

March 7 will be a public day with a series of public talks by contributors to the civic debate regarding definitions of public health.  It will also include a high school student showcase of a collaborative public health history project featuring work completed under the supervision of graduate students.
