The Public Health Agency of Canada initiated Skills Online - a dynamic continuing, online education program for public health - some 10 years ago. The suite of online modules is designed to help individuals and organizations develop and strengthen their knowledge and skills to meet the core competencies for public health in Canada.
In this session we will:
- Reflect on the past, present and future of Skills Online as an example of online continuing education for public health
- Share information about today’s challenges in online learning
- Explore 10 lessons learned about what works in online continuing education.
This session will be of interest to people who develop and deliver online training, public health managers and leaders, educators, and practitioners in public health and health promotion.
