The Ontario Drug Policy Research Network (ODPRN) is an academic network of five Ontario-based universities that conducts research called “drug class reviews” to inform drug funding policies in Ontario. Working directly with Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, we provide recommendations that help to inform how drugs are paid for by the public system (e.g., the Ontario Drug Benefit).
We are seeking individuals to participate in our Citizen’s Panel to gain feedback on our proposed recommendations. This is your opportunity to contribute to important issues impacting our health care system. Your participation can inform drug policy decisions affecting the lives of millions of Ontarians.
To join our Citizen’s Panel:
- You must be an Ontario resident with an interest in the health care system, public governance and civics and/or have experience as a patient in Ontario’s health care system.
- For each drug class review, your participation would include attending a 1-hour online meeting, responding to two short surveys and reading materials in preparation for these activities. There will be approximately 3–5 reviews per year. The anticipated time commitment if you participate in all meetings will be 15–20 hours per year.
If you are interested in participating please email us at [email protected] or David Flaherty at 416-864-6060 ext 77696 for more information.
