Call for Presenters: HC Link’s 2015 Linking for Healthy Communities Conference

HC Link’s 2015 provincial conference, Linking for Healthy Communities, will be held at the BMO Institute for Learning in Toronto on November 12 and 13. This biannual event is a chance for people working in a variety of settings and sectors across the province of Ontario to come together to learn and share experiences and strategies for building healthy, sustainable and resilient communities. This year’s conference theme is ACTION for CHANGE.

HC Link is looking for skilled presenters to deliver sessions (in English and French) that develop skills, promote shared learning, exchange ideas and experiences, and/or explore innovative approaches in community work. The conference will have two session formats:

  • Learning Workshop (75 to 90 minutes)
  • Storytelling Presentation (15 minutes)

We encourage submissions that address the following focus areas:

  • Advancing Health Equity    
  • Built Environment
  • Civic & Community Engagement     
  • Community Development Approaches
  • Community-based Participatory Research    
  • Cross-sector Collaboration
  • Developing Effective Partnerships    
  • Fundamental Skill-building
  • Health in All Policies    
  • Rural and Remote Perspectives
  • Sustainable Community Food Systems    
  • Youth Resiliency

Submissions will be accepted until Friday, May 22, 2015.
