There are more than 10 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes. Despite warnings issued by the medical community, the prevalence of diabetes has not decreased. Why does the rate of the disease continue to climb?

Dr. Daniel Drucker is internationally renowned for developing new and better treatments for diseases that afflict millions of people around the world, including diabetes and obesity. He is a Senior Investigator at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, part of Sinai Health System, and one of the Canada’s top researchers.

We are honoured to welcome Dr. Drucker who will discuss historical perspectives, challenges, and future potential for discovery of new drugs for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
