Updates to the Ontario Community Health Profiles Partnership, CRICH

We are pleased an update to one of our sources of free, open access data developed by scientists at the Centre for Research on Inner City Health at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Ontario Community Health Profiles Partnership
http://www.torontohealthprofiles.ca/ont/aboutUsON.php?varTab=HPDtbl&sele...

What: A website housing high quality, area-level, health-related data that is available to everyone. We provide timely information at no cost in a user-friendly format so communities in Ontario can identify issues related to health equity and respond.

Why: Without high quality, area-level data it is difficult to identify service gaps. We provide health service use data such as cancer screening rates, emergency department admissions, primary care enrollment and more at different levels of geography. We also provide data related to chronic disease in adults such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure.

How: Our data is available through our website. Members of our team also offer phone or email consultation. Please explore our website, and contact us with any questions. Contact Anne-Marie Tynan at tynanma@smh.ca, or Dr. Rick Glazier at glazierr@smh.ca. We look forward to hearing from you!

What's new: We've recently expanded from our start in Toronto to offer high quality data for communities in many areas of Ontario. Visit the link above find out more and start exploring right now!
