Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies

With expert Dr. Karleen Gribble who will address the critical importance of breastfeeding for survival in emergencies and the supports needed to protect breastfeeding and those artificially fed in disaster situations. A First Nations speaker will inform and discuss the historical, social and economic environments facing First Nations families and the healing importance of breastfeeding for their communities .Participants will have opportunity to discuss and work on developing a proposal to advocate for Infant and Young Child Feeding Policies needed for Canada. This is a small hands-on workshop limited to 30 participants.
