We are pleased to announce the details for the inaugural webinar of the Indigenous Cultural Safety Learning Series.
This national webinar series provides an opportunity to share knowledge; experiences and perspectives in support of collective efforts to strengthen Indigenous cultural safety in health and social services.
- Janet Smylie: Janet will discuss how attitudinal and systemic racism are important and
- often unrecognized determinants of health and health care access. She will describe new research initiatives on cultural safety in health care.
- Cheryl Ward: Her presentation will set the context for Indigenous Cultural Safety training by
- sharing insights on how racism and stereotyping surface in health care, as well as exploring pedagogical approaches to responding to racism.
