Public Health and Planning 101: An Online Course for Public Health and Planning Professionals to Create Healthier Built Environments, PHAC and Ontario Professional Planners Institute

On behalf of my colleagues at the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and Public Health Agency of Canada, I am excited to tell you about the launch of a new free online training program entitled, Public Health and Planning 101: An Online Course for Public Health and Planning Professionals to Create Healthier Built Environments. The course was launched on June 14th, 2016.

Inspired by our research and user feedback, the course is designed to bridge the gaps between both professions, as well as provide greater opportunities for developing collaborative partnerships to help create and foster healthy built environments. This free online introductory course can be taken anytime. The course format consists of short videos, exercises, interactive activities, supporting resources, self-assessments and takes approximately four hours to complete.
