Participation in the ree, 1-day Peer Leader Training will qualify you to lead PEP Talk – Diabetes, Healthy Feet and You Workshops for small groups in the Brampton, Rexdale, Malton, Dufferin County, Caledon, Woodbridge communities.
The PEP Talk – Diabetes Healthy Feet and You workshop, created by the Canadian Association of Wound Care, is facilitated by two Leaders and is designed for small groups of adults living with diabetes. The program is delivered as a 2 hour workshop using a power point presentation and aims to increase knowledge and skills about diabetes foot care to help reduce occurrence of diabetes related foot ulcers and amputations.
As a trained Leader you commit to deliver two workshops each year for the Central West Self-Management Program. An honorarium and coverage of travel for delivery of workshops is provided.
