Kyoto & Sprawl: Building Cities That Work

Sponsored by Glendon College, York University

The conference objective is to bring together experience, vision and passion and to stimulate thought and action. What happens after that will be determined on the last day of the conference, July 27, when the gathering decides on some practical ways in which we can all help to fulfil Canada's commitment to the Kyoto Accord by working together to reduce urban sprawl.

The Transport Minister, David Collenette, will give the opening keynote address on July 25. Jack Layton will sum it all up for us in "Livable City of Our Dreams" on July 27.
