KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and 150 volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. There is an immediate opening for a Foundational Standard Specialist with the Family Health Division.
The Specialist has enhanced responsibilities related to program planning and works with staff to increase their capacity in the following areas: population health assessment and surveillance; program evaluation; and research and knowledge exchange. The Specialist works within a multi-disciplinary team and with program staff, toward meeting the requirements of the Ontario Public Health Standards (OPHS).
The successful candidate will have a Master's degree with a preferred area of study of health promotion or epidemiology; Master's thesis experience is preferred; and experience in conducting program planning (using research evidence and best practice), program evaluation, surveillance, and population health assessment.
