Making the links between Youth and Leadership for a Stronger Rural Ontario

The Ontario Rural Council June 2005 Public Issue Forum

Is your community youth-friendly? Has your organization exhibited a desire to engage youth only to stall at the "how to" part? How does one capture the exuberance of youth and channel it effectively throughout the community? You are invited to participate in an afternoon of learning and dialogue! Join community and human services leaders, policy and decision makers, and social agency representatives as they collaborate for a better understanding of

* How to help youth find their voices and ensure those voices are heard in ways that strengthen our rural communities

* How to reduce the out-migration of youth through effective mentoring

* How to make the connection between youth and philanthropy, youth and healthy play, youth and their own potential
