Trauma and Global Health conference

The 3rd Annual Global Health Research Conference, hosted by the Centre for International Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, in collaboration with the 2nd Annual International Conference on Mental Health, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, and Department of Psychiatry, University of Manchester, with the cooperation of the Joint Centre for Bioethics



* Day 1. Trauma and Health, focuses on the effect of socio-political context on disaster and response to it. Discussion will also focus on the biological processes through which disaster affects human health in global communities.

* Day 2, International Mental Health, has a morning session focussing on depression, one of the most prevalent and disabling health problems in the world. The second session addresses the mental health consequences of health and social problems facing every country.
