Call for Applications–Toronto Public Health Youth Grants for Youth Agencies and Organizations

Deadline August 31, 2011

We are pleased to announce a new round of Toronto Public Health Youth Grants (TPHYG) funding. The TPH Youth Grants were established to support youth engagement work in health with a focus on tobacco use prevention and other correlated topics such as physical activity and healthy eating. Funded projects are youth-driven, community based and emphasize partnerships.

You can apply for a grant if you are an agency serving youth or an organization with existing youth groups, and your participants are between 13-19 years old. Contact us by email at beyourbestself@toronto.ca for more information.

Information sessions are being held across Toronto. At these sessions there will be an opportunity for groups to ask questions and talk over ideas. Youth and service providers are invited to attend! Please RSVP to Sara at 416-338-8468 or scohen2@toronto.ca.

This time the application has been split into two documents- there is the application guide and the actual application form. The application form should be filled out electronically and can be found online:

You can print it off and drop it or offices or send it by email it. (Please don’t mail it as our timelines at the end of August/ beginning of September are really, really tight).

The deadline for submission is 1:00 pm on Wednesday August 31, 2011.
