Motherisk

The Motherisk Program at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, was created in 1985 to provide evidence-based information and guidance concerning the potential risks to the developing fetus or infant, from exposure to drugs, chemicals, diseases, radiation and environmental agents.



Motherisk operates an Alcohol and Substance Use in Pregnancy Helpline, which offers fact-based information and non-judgmental counseling to pregnant and breastfeeding women, their families, and health care providers.
