RFP: Willow Diversity Project, French-Language Service Delivery (Phase 1)

5 p.m.

Willow - Breast Cancer Support & Resource Services is requesting proposals for conducting a French-language needs and capacities assessment, the first phase of Willow's French-language service delivery project.

Willow provides information and support to women with breast cancer, their families and friends by means of a toll-free line staffed by breast cancer survivors; a comprehensive resource centre, and workshops and training for support group facilitators.

The consultant should live in Toronto or the surrounding area to be available for meetings at Willow. We request that proposals for the French-language needs and capacities assessment be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 1999. For a detailed description of the scope of the work for the project, please send an e-mail to the address below.

The consultant will take responsibility for the entire project, which will be planned and delivered in French, including establishing an advisory group, identifying key informants, conducting telephone interviews with 50 key informants across the country, and preparing a report on the findings.

Each submission must include a workplan, a budget, an outline of methods for completing key tasks, a minimum of three references for similar work, credentials and tangible experience, demonstrated fluency in French and English (written and spoken) and other competencies as outlined in the scope of work. Please submit proposals in French by fax or e-mail. The project will begin in September 1999 and must be completed by January 2000.

For more information on this request for proposals, please send an e-mail to [email protected] to the attention of Carol. Proposals may be e-mailed to the same address, or faxed to 416-778-8070.
