Manager, Research Operations - Think First Foundation


The THINK FIRST Foundation is a national injury prevention organization. The primary objective of the THINK FIRST Foundation is the prevention of Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries through the promotion of awareness. St. Michael's Hospital, Division of Neurosurgery is a national leader in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of neuro-trauma.

Manager, Research Operations



This person will manage THINK FIRST's research activities on a full-time basis, as well as coordinate a number of projects for the Division of Neurosurgery at St. Michael's Hospital. The manager will lead a team to analyze research needs, stimulate and carry out research activities, and disseminate research results on injury prevention in Canada. The team will conduct research, develop reports and proposals, and build relationships with other researchers and key stakeholders. This position reports to the National Director of Research.



Essential Qualifications



* A post-graduate degree (MSc., PhD) in either education, evaluation, health promotion, a health related field, or similar discipline

* Knowledge of implementation of research protocol and proposal development

* Strong motivational, communication, organizational and time management skills

* Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and internet access



Preferred Qualities

* Demonstrated experience with project and team management

* Experience with collaborative relationships with researchers, community groups, and academic institutions

* Experience with datasets and the statistics involved with evaluation and measurement

* Strong interpersonal skills
