Project Manager, Marketing, Social & Public Health Services, City of Hamilton

The City of Hamilton is an award winning, model sustainable community with many amenities. We currently have an opportunity with our Social & Public Health Services Department, for a Project Manager, Marketing.

Reporting to the Manager of Marketing and Information Services, the Project Manager manages departmental marketing projects and is accountable for ensuring that project management services are delivered through the effective and efficient use of financial and staff resources. The position manages projects in a variety of staff resource configurations and is accountable for ensuring that assigned projects are delivered with due consideration to the identification and control of project scope, schedule, cost and the management of associated risks. The Project Manager provides leadership, guidance, marketing expertise, innovative problem solving, and achieves results through effective teamwork.

The Project Manager uses a "best practices" approach in the design and execution of marketing strategies that will increase public access and satisfaction with social and public health services and programs. Applying your marketing expertise which includes research methodologies, social marketing, consumer behaviour theories and strategy development, you will have lead responsibility for the planning, management and implementation of marketing projects that support achieving service outcomes in mandated public health and social services programs.

You have a post graduate degree in marketing or equivalent education and experience coupled with progressively responsible project management and supervisory experience. You have superior facilitation, negotiation, leadership, organizational and communications skills. Experience in the social services or public health sector an asset.
