Purpose of Position

* To develop program tools, templates, layout standards, and writing quality standards; making program content relevant and user-friendly for audience

* To co-ordinate support services used in program development



Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

* Develops program design tools, templates and layout standards

* Manages Brand use in fraternal materials

* Designs, writes and edits detailed program content in accordance with the established vision, goals, objectives, templates, standards, outcome measures and evaluation processes

* Defines and develops a training model to meet the needs of the program and its clients

* Develops training program outlines and detailed content, consistent with the principles and methods of adult education/training

* Manages multiple objectives and priorities and delivers results on a timely basis which meets the needs of the audience (which is spread across multiple locations with diversified geography and culture)

* Works with outside subject matter experts in design delivery

* Coordinates support services used in program design and development



Key Qualifications / Competencies

* Superior communication skills specific to writing, design, and editing of detailed program materials

* Understanding of the volunteer audience to maintain program content consistent with audience needs

* Project management skills to manage program design projects to budget, timelines, and standards

* Ability to assess written material for appropriate writing style and understandability

* Highly developed skill in preparing detailed program materials applicable to multiple locations with diversified geography and culture

* Ability to ensure consistency in program output/materials

* Excellent problem-solving, analysis and process-management skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on a timely basis

* Ability to manage a high number of objectives and distill/consolidate them to the salient points/steps/messages for the audience

* Ability to function as a team player and manage outside subject matter experts and suppliers

* Ability to work with minimal supervision

* Comprehensive knowledge of the volunteer and not-for-profit sector, current trends and culture, with emphasis on children's issues

* Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook

* Excellent interpersonal skills
