Health Promotion Consultant, Bilingual, Canadian Health Network/SMARTRISK Foundation


SMARTRISK is seeking a part-time, bilingual Health Promotion Consultant who will be responsible for developing and supporting a network of organizations in injury prevention, co-ordinating the review and recommendations for change of CHN website content on injury prevention, participating in the preparation of content for Frequently Asked Questions and/or Health Information Requests and participating in the development and implementation of a variety of health promotion initiatives.
SMARTRISK is a national injury prevention organization created in 1992. SMARTRISK helps people see the risks in their everyday lives and shows them how to take those risks in the smartest way possible so that they can enjoy life to the fullest.

SMARTRISK is an Affiliate Partner of the Canadian Health Network (CHN). To this end, SMARTRISK supports the CHN by providing expert advice and responding to consumer health inquiries on injury prevention. SMARTRISK is part of a distributed network of organizations identifying, developing and selecting resources in both official languages using different modes of access.

The ideal candidate will have background and/or experience in health promotion related to injury prevention; excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills; experience in collaborative relationships; sensitivity to linguistic and cultural diversity; and knowledge of Internet technology. Bilingualism is required.
