Working with program staff, community partners, and managers, the Program Evaluator will undertake special projects involving the evaluation of public health services. Some of these projects include Early Childhood Development, Protecting High Risk Children Against Family Abuse, and Healthy Living, specifically smoking cessation. Reporting to the Director of Research, Education, Evaluation and Development (REED) Services, the Program Evaluator will collaborate with staff in planning and evaluation. The successful candidate will design and test evaluation tools and develop plans for the implementation of the evaluation strategy. The incumbent will also do the statistical or complex analysis and evaluation reporting of results as needed.
This 13-month leave replacement commencing in August requires a Master's degree in Health Sciences or one of the social sciences such as psychology, sociology or education. Knowledge and experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, analysis, and critical appraisal skills are also required. Candidates must be highly competent in keyboarding and have demonstrated and proven ability related to microcomputer software systems, i.e., files maintenance, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Candidates must also have excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate in French or other languages would be considered an asset.
