Director, Marketing and Communications, Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange


The Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange (CATIE) is Canada's leading treatment information service related to HIV/AIDS. Founded in 1989, CATIE is a national, consumer-driven, non-profit organization that provides information on the holistic treatment of HIV/AIDS infection and on clinical advances in the field of HIV/AIDS, primarily to persons with HIV/AIDS and their care givers and to relevant community organizations. We are currently seeking a bilingual (English/French) full-time Director, Marketing and Communications.



Key Duties



* Marketing Strategies

The Director, Marketing and Communications, leads all marketing initiatives designed to increase CATIE's profile and to increase the accessibility and up-take of our products and services. She/he will research, develop and implement CATIE's marketing strategy and marketing plan and actively seek opportunities for partnerships to enhance our reach to target audiences.



* Distribution

She/he develops and oversees the implementation of distribution strategies and systems for all print and electronic materials, ensures that distribution lists include all relevant audiences, and oversees the management of the databases used for distribution and communications.



* Communications

She/he writes, edits and produces CATIE's corporate communications materials, including newsletters, annual reports, brochures, flyers, and promotional materials in print and electronic publications, and acts as the main media contact for the organization.



* Events

The Director, Marketing and Communications, oversees and participates in the planning of CATIE events, including our national Annual General Meeting and oversees exhibits of agency materials at conferences and other events.



Qualifications



Minimum 5 years experience at a senior level in non-profit marketing and communications. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies. Relevant post-secondary education. Superior communications skills, verbal and written, in French and English.
