The Ontario Public Health Association is seeking applicants for its Communications and Public Relations Officer position. This position is accountable for communication and public relations for the Association including the writing, editing and coordinating the production of informational, program, social marketing and public relations materials; establishing and maintaining proactive media and public relations; and providing media/public relations and communications advice to OPHA staff and Board of Directors.



The position's qualifications include

* Degree from a recognized university in creative writing, communications, social marketing, media relations, publicity or related field desirable

* Superior skills in creating, writing and editing audience-appropriate language materials

* Strong research, key message development and strategic positioning skills

* Excellent oral communications to manage media relations and public relations, provide specialized information, manage issues and relationships, and handle inquiries diplomatically
