Popular Democracy and Food--Lessons from Brazil

2:30-4:30 p.m.
Room 163, University College, University of Toronto

Presenter: Debbie Field, executive director of FoodShare Toronto

The
'Food for Talk' seminar series/discussion forum is intended to give
academic and community audiences a chance to hear about and talk about
important issues related to food security, agricultural transformation,
and local food alternatives/networks. This monthly forum is jointly
organized by the Centre for Urban Health Initiatives at the University
of Toronto, the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University,
the Centre for Studies in Food Security at Ryerson University and the
Toronto Food Policy Council. We hope that it will serve as a venue for
discussion and networking among people working on food issues from all
sectors.

For more information about the seminar series,
telephone the Centre for Urban Health Initiatives at (416) 978-7223.
