Toronto Social and Justice Awards

As poverty and inequality continue to grow, thousands of concerned
citizens are working hard to sustain public services and advocate for
social change.  Too often their work is undervalued and
underappreciated.

We believe it is time to recognize those who have devoted their time
and energy to the pursuit of social justice. We want to encourage youth
and young adults who take action to improve the lives of their
communities. We  want to celebrate those who work for social
change, who provide services to  those who have fallen on hard
times and who aid newcomers in their difficult transition to a new life
in Toronto. Their empathy and support  have made a difference in
peoples lives and their contribution deserves wide applause.
