Health Promoter, Brant County Health Unit

Regular Full-time

As an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will plan,
implement, and evaluate population based health promotion activities
including policy development, mass media and communication campaigns,
community development and coalition building; liaise with community
partners and workplaces, and participate on formal and informal
committees and networks, and develop health information resources,
i.e., newsletters, brochures, displays.

Education and Experience: a degree (Masters level preferred) in health
promotion, or a related discipline, knowledge and experience in the
areas of chronic disease prevention and injury prevention is an asset,
complimented by skills and experience in policy development, behaviour
change theory, and mass media communication.  Demonstrated
effective written and verbal communication skills; group facilitation
skills; advanced computer skills and a current Ontario driver's license
and use of a vehicle.

Salary range: $27.72-32.61 per hour; in accordance with O.N.A. General Collective Agreement
