New Tip Sheets--How Can Parents Help Their Teenagers Graduate?

The Ontario Parent Inclusion Project offers a "High School Courses and
Choices" tip sheet to help parents make sense of it all.  The tip
sheet is one of a series being developed by Inclusion Project partners,
including representatives of the Keewatin-Patricia District School
Board, the Maytree Foundation, Participation of Ethno-racial
Communities in Schools--Waterloo Region, People for Education, and
Settlement Workers in Schools.

The tip sheet provides answers to commonly-asked questions like

  • How do I know which school is best for my child?
  • Which courses does my child have to take?
  • What's the difference between the Applied and Academic Streams?
  • How can I make choices that that won't close doors for my child?
  • Where can I go for help?

The tip sheets are posted to http://www.peopleforeducation.com in Arabic, Chinese (traditional), English, Farsi, French, Punjabi, Korean, Russian,Somali, Spanish, Tamil, and Urdu.
