The ALS Society of Canada seeks a Director of Research who will lead
the development and implementation of a national ALS research strategy
focusing on understanding the cause of and cure for Amyotrophic Lateral
Qualifications required: PhD in a biological science - preference
given to neuroscience and minimum five years' experience with an
organization closely aligned with and focused on scientific and medical
The successful candidate will foster creative collaborations with
research partners and industry and take a leadership role within the
ALS research community. As a successful leader, you have
demonstrated your capacity to build relationships and to work
effectively with numerous stakeholders.
Founded in 1977 as a national voluntary organization, the ALS Society
of Canada funds research towards a cure for ALS, supports provincial
ALS Societies in their provision of quality care for persons living
with ALS and provides information to build awareness about the disease.
