Perspectives on Canada Conference on Health, Well-being and Quality of Life

During this one-day session, representatives from the private, public
and non-profit sectors will be brought together in the capacity of
keynote and panel speakers. The morning keynote speaker, Dr. Douglas
Norris, former Director General, Census and Demographics, Statistics
Canada will deliver a presentation using his expert knowledge on
population trends in health and well-being as well as findings on the
health of Canada 's metropolitan cities. The afternoon keynote speaker,
Dr. Sheela Basrur, Chief Medical Officer of Health and Assistant Deputy
Minister Public Health Division, Ministry of Health Promotion, will be
speaking about implications and challenges of an aging population on
the health care system. Each keynote presentation will be followed by a
panel discussion.
