Full-time Program Coordinator, East End Community Health Centre

East End Community Health Centre, a non-profit, multi-service centre
providing health, social, and community outreach services, requires a Full-time Program Coordinator.

East End CHC has an exciting opportunity for a full-time program
coordinator to join a dynamic team of health professionals working to
promote health and prevent illness through the planning, coordination,
delivery and evaluation of Centre programs. You will provide support
and supervision to a team of allied health professionals and community
health staff who deliver primary health care services and who engage
our clients and community in health promotion activities, advocacy and
community development. You will work collaboratively with the staff,
board, and community partners to assess community needs and to plan,
implement, and evaluate Centre programs.

You will be responsible to

provide leadership in conducting needs analyses and community
consultations, and in developing strategic directions for Centre
programs
oversee the development of program plans and evaluations
support and supervise a team of allied health professionals and community health staff
develop and foster strategic partnerships on local health issues
participate actively as a member of the management team
prepare management reports and develop funding proposals
develop and manage program budgets
write Centre communications materials, such as annual reports
provide support to board committees
Requirements

Master’s degree in Health or Social Services, or the equivalent in experience
a minimum of 5 years experience in health promotion and community
development, including at least 3 years experience in management
proficiency in community consultation, program design and evaluation
solid grasp of community development, health promotion, and advocacy principles and practices
demonstrated ability to initiate and sustain community partnerships,
work with board committees and facilitate effective team planning
excellent oral and written communications skills
ability to collect and analyze data
computer literacy
experience working with a multicultural community and diverse staff
