mind, emotion and body by providing Traditional Healing within an
intra-disciplinary health care model.

Anishnawbe Health Toronto, an accredited Community Health Centre, seeks
a Physician who will function as an effective member of a
multi-disciplinary team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide primary health care services within an integrated, multidisciplinary health care model
  • Collaborate within a team to develop strategic health directions, policies, programs and services
  • Contribute to planning for community partnerships, outreach services and research
  • Participate in chart reviews, ethical reviews and case conferencing
  • Provide leadership direction and support to the clinical team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensed and eligible to practice medicine in Ontario
  • Knowledge and experience in community health setting is preferred
  • Understanding of health issues of urban Aboriginal Peoples would be beneficial
  • Prior experience with Aboriginal Peoples considered an asset
  • Ability to function within a multidisciplinary team including
    physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychiatrists, mental health
    counselors, chiropodist, chiropractors, massage therapists,
    naturopaths, Traditional Healers, Elders and Medicine People
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal language and culture is considered an asset
