CMHA Mental Health Promotion Toolkit

Produced in 1999 by the Canadian Mental Health Association, National
Office and written by Catherine Willinsky, the kit is a comprehensive
guide for communities that wish to undertake mental health promotion
initiatives. It contains everything anyone would need to know about
implementing a mental health promotion program, including examples,
strategies, tips and tools.

The Train the Trainer manual (
is a companion piece to the Mental Health Promotion Tool Kit. Funded by
the Mental Health Promotion Unit of Health Canada, it guides groups
through a series of exercises. The exercises allow participants to
learn skills for carrying out the various components of a community
development program as outlined in the Took Kit. Individuals who go
