Job Summary

Collaborate with school jurisdictions to develop cross sector knowledge
exchange networks among practitioners from health, education, and the
University of Calgary for the purpose of creating healthy school
environments. Collaborate with school jurisdictions in developing,
implementing and evaluating health promotion practices supported at the
systems level, using population health approaches. Promote and support
evidenced informed practice related to health promotion in schools
including piloting state of the art interventions using a team
approach. Support School Jurisdictions in developing criteria to
evaluate health promotion programs and in critical analysis of research
to inform decisions regarding health promotion programs/approaches.
Provide direction and support for school health practitioners
professional development. Lead the team in preparing articles for
publication using collaborative approach.


  • Baccalaureate in Health Profession
  • Master s Degree in Health or related discipline
  • Registration/licence with appropriate professional association or regulatory body
  • Experience facilitating system change with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working in health promotion
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Research experience an asset
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to critically review research
  • Strong group facilitation skills
