Ontario Health Promotion Summer School 2006

Fee: $525 (includes courses, materials, superb lunches, parking, and access to recreational facilities)

The Ontario Health Promotion Summer School is designed to provide a
comprehensive educational experience for health professionals,
community workers, managers, and health promotion specialists, with an
emphasis on translating new knowledge into practice. The rich and
stimulating curriculum offered is designed to facilitate personal
growth and organizational, community, and system improvements.

Some of the speakers scheduled for HPSS 2006 are André Picard, Globe
& Mail journalist; Ken Greenberg, Architect/Designer; Trevor
Hancock, physician and public health consultant, Ministry of Health.

Aboriginal and French-language program also offered; preschool is on June 25.

Subsidies for nurses available (to cover cost of registration only)
through RNAO.  Subsidies for are available for Ontario residents
attending French-language the program (to help with travel and
accommodation costs).  Rooms are still available at the IFL:
$160/night including meals and parking.
